Dr. Allison Legg graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with a Bachelor of Science before pursuing a Masters degree in Environmental Biology from the University of Waterloo. Following that, Dr. Legg went on to achieve a Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto. During her time at CMCC Dr. Legg completed studies in contemporary medical acupuncture at McMaster University. Since then Dr. Legg has completed additional continuing education courses focusing on gentle chiropractic techniques (such as Activator, and Thompson technique) as well as courses for the care of sensitive populations (pregnant women and children).
Dr. Legg believes the cornerstone of chiropractic care is the body's distinctive ability to heal. Her treatments are personalized to each patient, taking advantage of the body's natural ability to expedite the healing process, decrease pain, returning the patient to optimal mechanics and function.
Dr. Legg has a special interest in the treatment neck pain, pregnancy and perinatal treatment, as well as geriatric care and acupuncture. She believes that clear communication and patient education are imperative to providing the best possible patient care. When a patient understands their injury they are better suited to become an active member in their own health.
